Why Support Us? Our Story:
Motif has stood up for the arts and entertainment communities, an honor and delightful calling that has grown challenging to maintain in recent years. Over the last 20 years, Motif events have served thousands of artists and introduced tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders to the work of local artists.
In the face of inflation, a struggling arts economy, disappearing grants, and generally declining governmental support, we want to keep the dream alive, but we need your help.
Motif Community Outreach of RI is a brand new non-profit formed to produce the events and awards shows we’ve built up over the years. It’s a new approach that will enable us to keep these events alive and going, with your support.

Your support will help us continue events like the RI Music Awards, now 20 years old, the RI Bartender Awards, the RI Food Truck Awards, RI Brewery Awards, RI Spoken Word Awards, as well as nearly 50 other community-building celebrations we coax into reality every year.
These strengthen the arts, helping to lift entire communities. They foster diverse viewpoints and backgrounds, open minds, elevate conversations, address hard issues from new angles, and promote equity by keeping artistic explorations accessible and affordable.
